Project Overview
CSA worked with ACLE Services to deliver the 250 MW Battery Energy Storage System on Sidebottoms Road, Pine Lodge.
The $74 million facility covers approximately seven hectares and includes around 150 battery energy storage system containers and an AusNet electrical substation.
Engaged after initial approval of the project the Victorian State Government, CSA has undertaken considerable surveys of the site as well as design of the access route and changes to the planning permit in conjunction with the construction contractor.


Our Role
Planning
CSA’s planning team assisted with post-approval amendments to incorporate telecommunications infrastructure within the approved facility footprint. This infrastructure enables remote monitoring and supported the facility’s transition into operation.
Surveying
Our land surveying services included:
- Set-out surveys
- Feature surveys
- Lease plans
- Easement plans
- As-constructed plans
Civil engineering
Our civil engineering services included:
- Design of the site access track and vehicle crossing
- Design of associated drainage infrastructure
- Swept path analysis for large delivery vehicles
- Drainage design for the terminal station
- Preparation of the fencing plan
